PediSEP-1 hereby wishes to inform visitors to the www.pedisep1.org website (hereinafter the “Website”) of its use of cookies within the Website. “Cookies” is a text file which is sent from a web server (i.e. the computer which “hosts” the website visited) to the user’s browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google, etc.) and stored in the device, whether fixed or mobile, which the user employs for browsing.
The cookies enable the Website to identify the user’s device, through the information stored therein, whenever said user connects to the Website through that device.
Through the use of cookies, we can make it easier for the user to navigate the Website.

Cookies do not collect information directly identifying the user. In fact, Penta cannot, through the use of cookies, track any personally identifiable information (e.g. first name, last name) unless this is provided directly by the user.
1. What types of cookies are used by the Website
Technical and Necessary Cookies
These are cookies used to facilitate navigation and therefore the computerised transmission of data over the network or strictly necessary for the provision of the services provided by the Website.
Through the use of such cookies, we are able to facilitate the user’s browsing within the Website, for example by recalling the data the user has provided when completing forms on the Website (so-called user-input cookies), to recognise the user after he/she has logged in to the Website (so-called authentication cookies), to customise the interface of the website based on the preferences indicated by the user and to collect aggregate data on the number of website visitors and the most visited pages, etc. (so-called cookies analytics used with mechanisms to partially obscure IP addresses). Functional cookies help to perform certain functionalities like sharing the content of the Website on social media platforms, collect feedbacks, and other third-party features. These instruments are not strictly necessary for browsing the Website and, therefore, shall be used on obtaining the user’s consent.

Other cookies are those uncategorized cookies under analysis and not yet into a category. Please refer to the table below for a description of their purpose and, in any case, their use by the Website is subject to obtaining user’s consent.

2. How to manage the consent of cookies and other tracking tools?
When accessing the Website, the user is shown a warning banner regarding cookies that may be used. The banner provides summary information that allows the user to understand which cookies/tools are used and for what purposes; in addition, by using the “Cookie Settings” button the user can also check in detail which types of cookies and tools are used. The user is therefore free to choose whether and which cookies and other tracking tools to authorise. We will record whether the user granted or denied consent to directly access the pages of the Website without having to view the banner once again, except in special cases (e.g., if the user deletes cookies or if the users must be updated regarding the cookies used).
